Skoglund Middle School
Center of Focus is a communication written by Carrie Zimmerman, Skoglund Middle School Principal, to keep staff, students, parents, and community members informed of the weekly happenings at our school. The weekly update recognizes the hard work and efforts of students and staff, reviews the weekly activities, previews the week ahead and focuses attention on the Core Beliefs of the district.

Quality planning, instruction and assessments lead to high student achievement.
We are preparing our students to be successful in life
Everyone must be committed to the pursuit of excellence.
There is no excuse for poor quality instruction.
These are the beliefs that guide out daily efforts and help us to stay focused and purposeful in all that we do.
Skoglund Middle School is located in Center, Colorado and serves approximately 135 students in grades 6-8. With a focused curriculum and exceptional teachers that provide students with high quality instruction, Skoglund works in conjunction with the rest of the district to develop independent, self directed, self motivated, adventurous, risk taking experiential learners armed with the skills necessary to meet the challenges they will face in the 21st Century.
